Eligibility & Enrollment
2027 Open Enrollment
Enrollment is open October 26 through November 6, 2026
Your elections take effect January 1, 2027.
Open Enrollment is your time to review, decide, and enroll in your benefits for the coming year. A few things are changing for 2027, including a new company-funded Health Savings Account (HSA). After you’ve had a chance to review your benefits information, don’t forget to complete your enrollment in ADP before November 6!
What is changing
NEW: A company-funded Health Savings Account through Lively
Starting January 1, 2027, Moneta is sponsoring Health Savings Accounts through Lively and putting money into them.
- Individual coverage: up to $500 a year, or $20.83 per pay period
- Family coverage: up to $1,000 a year, or $41.67 per pay period
Moneta also pays the monthly account fee for as long as you work here.
Contributions are deposited to your Lively account each pay period, so you need a Lively account to receive them. If you already have an HSA somewhere else, you can keep it — but employer funds and future HSA employee contributions will only go to Lively HSA accounts. You can run both accounts, or move your existing balance over.
What you need to do: if you enroll in HDHP 1 or HDHP 2, elect your HSA contribution amount in ADP during Open Enrollment. You will not open your Lively account during Open Enrollment. In early December, after enrollment closes, Lively will email you instructions for opening your account. When you decide how much to contribute, remember that the company money counts toward the IRS annual maximum.
Moving an existing HSA to Lively
You have two options, and either one takes about four to six weeks. You will not have access to the money while it moves, so plan around any care you have coming up.
- Transfer between providers. Lively requests the money directly from your current custodian. You never touch it, there is no tax consequence, and you can do it as often as you like.
- Your current custodian sends the money to you, and you have 60 days to deposit it into Lively. The IRS allows this once every 12 months. Miss the 60 days and it counts as a taxable withdrawal with a 20% penalty.
The transfer route is simpler and lower risk. Lively can walk you through either one.
Basic life insurance is changing
Basic life and AD&D is now one times your base annual salary, instead of a flat $50,000. Moneta pays for this coverage and you are enrolled automatically.
One thing to know: because your coverage will now be higher than $50,000, the IRS treats the value of the coverage above that amount as taxable income. You will see it on your paycheck and on your W-2. You are not paying a premium for the insurance — it only affects the taxes withheld from your pay. See Life & AD&D for details about this benefit.
This is a good time to check that your beneficiaries are current in ADP.
What is not changing
Medical keeps the same three UHC plans (HDHP 1, HDHP 2 and the PPO) and the Choice Plus network. Premiums and the HDHP 1 deductible and out-of-pocket maximum increase slightly for 2027; see Employee Premiums and Medical for the new amounts. Dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, the 401(k), accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and pet insurance all carry forward for 2027 with no changes to how they work or what they cost.

What you need to do
- Read what is changing above, and review your current elections in ADP.
- Check that your doctors are still in network. Medical at myuhc.com under the Choice Plus network, dental and vision at deltadentalmo.com.
- Think about the year ahead. If you expect more care than usual, compare the PPO against the HDHPs on total cost, not just the premium. See Employee Premiums for the 2027 rates and Medical for plan details.
- If you are choosing an HDHP, elect your HSA contribution in ADP, then watch for an email from Lively in early December with instructions for opening your account. Remember the company contribution counts toward your IRS limit.
- Re-elect your flexible spending accounts if you want them. FSA elections do not carry over.
- Confirm your beneficiaries for life and AD&D.
- Complete your enrollment in ADP by November 6, 2026.
